These stainless steel hoppers store up to 450 kg of powder, eradicating the need for large volumes of smaller plastic containers, minimising manual handling which could result in metal powders being accidentally mixed between types or batches.
PowderTraces are fully sealed under an inert atmosphere charged through tamper evident valves, ensuring the powder stays dry and free from gaseous contaminants such as oxygen and nitrogen which is critical as contamination can affect the build parts.
Because the hoppers contain sensors that record weight, humidity, temperature, pressure and oxygen levels of the metal powder, their smart technology monitors the status of powders throughout the powder lifecycle, ensuring you are aware of material quality every step of the way.
PowderTrace hoppers can be used to transport metal powders from supplier to your facility and for on-site storage, adding convenient stock control as every unit is QR-coded.
All data collected during transportation and storage can be uploaded into PowderSolve, the AM quality control software suite, to create full powder lifecycle traceability.
